Miracles often come with instructions

We tend to think of them as instant fixes, but God's ways are more nuanced. He showed His glory in Israel's lives through instant miracles like manna from heaven (Exodus 16:4-5) and water from the rock (Exodus 17:1-7, Numbers 20:1-13). Even the Red Sea parting had an instruction: "Go forward!"

These miracles shared a common thread: obedience to God's instructions; Gather only enough manna for the day. Strike the rock. Lift your staff and move forward into the sea. The children of Israel had to act. However, sometimes, miracles unfold over time through seemingly random actions:

  • Asking a friend for advice

  • Seeking help online

  • Reading a specific page for an exam

  • Taking bold steps to make a request

These might not be dramatic "blind-eye opened" moments, but if the Spirit of God nudged you to take action, in there lies ~that's~ the miracle! The fact that God put the instruction, ~it~ in your heart ~is the miracle~ is already an indication that a Miracle is at the horizon. The key is following instructions by faith, looking beyond current circumstances into God's grace and power.

Learning to follow God’s instructions by faith is what activates the miracle (Hebrews 11:6). So if you’re praying for a miracle, understand this: not all miracles show up immediately. Sometimes there are multiple phases of instructions to walk through before you step into the full reality of what God promised.
